Got inspired to do some more Digimon type images and after seeing a badass gif of Omnimon with the moon behind him and walking like a badass I had to make this. It also gave me an idea for a little short story, I do mean short. Keep in mind the following story takes place in my shared crossover universe The Guardian-Verse, basically heroes from across the Omniverse are apart of a big team and help protect their world of Nexus-Earth and such.

This particular scene is of Omnimon X defending Hyrule Castle and Castle Town from an on coming horde of demons and other such scary beasts. With Link out of commission after a fight with his evil counterpart Dark Link as well as fending off attacks from Heartless with Sora's help, both heroes are either busy elsewhere or are out cold due to the near endless hordes of enemies. Omnimon, currently in his X form has come to aid his two fellow Guardians of Freedom.

Short Story:

Many of Hyrule's people trembled in fear as they heard the sounds of the approaching beasts out in the fields, roars and heavy footfalls as well as screeches met their ears, children cried and parents did their best to comfort them. Guards put up a brave face but in truth they were absolutely terrified. Impa could see that, it was no secret that The Hyrule Guard were rather cowardly with a select few showing any real bravery, the fact that a platoon of soldiers went out there to confront the beasts and never returned did nothing to make them stop quaking in their boots.

The Sheikah Warrior and The Princess's Personal Bodyguard would have scolded them if she herself was concerned with the fact that an army of demons that nearly covered all of Hyrule Field wasn't heading for their castle. What they wanted is unknown, from what she saw of their slaughter of her soldiers though showed they were brutal, violent and without reason and...they are hungry. Some of these beasts ate her soldiers alive, armor and all, even their steeds were left as half eaten carcass's that littered the ground only to be devoured by either smaller demons or smashed into a gory paste by the larger ones.

She narrowed her eyes at these beasts, she wondered why they hadn't already charged the gates, they had the numbers and the strength surely. She noticed many of them would stick their horrid faces into the air and smell. It hit her, they smelled fear. By delaying the slaughter they only made their prey fear their impending doom that much sooner. Her fists tightened and she gritted her teeth in anger. The damn things were toying with them.

If she were to be devoured by these beasts she would see to it they would find her hard to swallow.

Suddenly many of the beasts looked up at the sky and stopped, she raised an eyebrow and looked as well. For the past few hours she had felt dread, now she felt hope.

Help had arrived.

Landing outside the castle gates was a literal knight in white armor, it glistened in the full moon's light as his cape gently flowed in the wind of the oncoming storm.

He slowly walked towards the army of hell and moved his arm to his chest before extending it and a long blade appeared, his cannon appeared on his other arm as well. With a powerful swing he cleaved a massive slash into the ground creating a near perfect straight line that appeared bottomless.

With a confident and powerful voice, the Royal Knight spoke.

Omnimon X: My Name is Omnimon X, Royal Knight and Member of The Guardians of Freedom. Protector of Both The Digital Realm and The Nexus-Realm. If you have any sense of self preservation you will return back to The Pits of Hell from which you came or Die. I feel merciful despite your terrible actions, cross this line or refuse to surrender and my wrath will be the last sight you behold. The Choice, is Yours.

Impa was impressed, Omnimon was a True Knight indeed, even in the face of such odds and such terrible creatures he still gave them a choice, even though they both knew what it would be.

One of the larger demons, almost as big as Omnimon himself stood at the front of the army, possibly their leader. He held a large blade, possibly bigger than himself. He stared down Omnimon X for a moment, looked to the line and then gave the proper response expected of a fool.

With a roar he and his kin charged towards Omnimon X.

Omnimon X: Don't say you weren't warned.

The head demon, a Baron of Hell. Leaped over the line and meant to cleave Omnimon X in two with his blade, in the blink of an eye the Baron fell to the ground with it's head rolling towards the bottomless gorge and it's blade crashed into the ground not far off. Many of the smaller demons turned and ran, the larger ones saw this as a challenge and foolishly attacked like the one before them. They fell with ease under the might of Omnimon X, each one's body seemingly falling into the chasm.

The Demons should have ran when they had the chance.

End:

That was fun. Dunno where the drive to write that came from but I ain't complaining, incase anyone's wondering, just picture Impa like her Hyrule Warrior's counterpart and the demons that attacked basically looked like the ones from Doom, minus a lot of their armor and weaponry on some of them.
